Breastfeeding or Not thats the ?

Well I don’t really know who to start this blog on breastfeeding, but here it goes. We were give an assignment to write on English 111 on an argumentative topic. I tied to choose something that no one would choose and something that is of interest to me. Breastfeeding. Although I’m not a mother yet, i have plans to be one one day. I think about how I will raise my children and what life lessons I can teach them for their own future. One reason I choose breastfeeding as my topic for my essay is because I plan to breastfeed my own. We all hear pros and cons on this matter but all in all it’s the mothers choice to decide weather to or not. I don’t really know a lot about this issues right now but I hope to learn more about it during my own research. I know you are asking, then why am I so interested? when I was born my mother didn’t get a chance to breastfeed my because she was sick and so was I. But I wonder how I would be if things were done different. I also think that it is natural thing, and it’s how people in the past were raised. No I don’t live in the “old fashion” thought. I have just herd my family say such good things about it. Like you’ll loss your baby fat faster and you won’t have to deal with sore swelled breast plus it so much healthier for you children. But like I said I don’t know that much about it yet I plan to find out just how and why woman should continue to stick whit old ways and stick to old traditions.

Irene Wright

Her eyes are blue and skin pale as a ghost, as if no life runs through her vanes. I sit and stair at her as if she was the only thing in the room, wondering why she can’t remember me? Though the sickness  that travels throughout her mind and body has had it’s toll, shes still fighting the good fight. She sits with her legs and arms crossed with sweats and blankets covering her for warmth, In a electrical chair that moves up and down. sitting to her left is one of the four home nurses with a napkin and bottled water with a straw. Papaw to her right holding her hand like the were still in high school pronouncing there love to fellow classmates, rubs and never lets go. “Irene” he says, look has come to visit you. With no movement just little noises coming from her mouth like moans and groans she does nothing. I can remember sitting in her lap some years ago, listing to her not really whistle but have sound with wind that was blown our of her mouth. Though these are just past events I wish that I could be in her arms and hear her blown that hot air with the sound of Amazing Grace coming from her mouth one more time.

As I awake in my jersey t-shirt sheets with my electric blanket set to around 5, I don’t want to get out of my warm comforting queen size bed. But I have to. I roll over to my loud obnoxious alarm and turn it off from it’s extreme announcing sound or buzz, buzz, buzz. Oh how I wish I would just break down and buy a new alarm clock with a radio. I turn to place my tired and very relaxed legs on my creamy sand like carpet. Stand and stretch out my arms to finish waking up while moaning and groaning comes from my mouth. Walk with my eyes still consomed with sleep and vision blurred to the bathroom. As I step on to the cold and hard tile floor I know my day is about to begin. Taking a very warm and steamy shower refreshes me and my skin I began my day.

The bodies were brought to Reykjavik aboard an Icelandic fishing vessel. As the boat docked, bells tolled throughout the city and two thousand citizens stood silently at quayside. On a farm fifty miles north of the capital, near where the Pourquoi Pas had wrecked, as six-year old girl named Asta, who would someday become a writer, learned about the sinking of the ship. And a part of the ship, a beautiful piece of reddish wood painted blue, came drifting into the lagoon next to the farm called Litla Hraun…”

Why not Vote

In the 2008 presidential election I have found myself asking, should I or shouldn’t I vote? To me this election is a big joke and the American society has blown it way out of balance. Obama or McCain? McCain or Obama? Who knows but I can’t wait for it all to be over. Going back to my question about should I or shouldn’t I vote? I wonder does it really matter who runs our country or not, cause the government is going to do whatever they want anyway. I don’t know but as I think about it why not vote. our nation has fought war for our freedom and right so why not continue to stand up for what we believe. I don’t know about you all but I do care who runs our country, and by having this privilege I get to say how it is ran. It is very easy to over look your right to vote and have a attitude of “Whatever” or “who cares” perception on our country but most everyone I have meet cares about the well being of them self’s or at least I do. I know this day takes time and a little ability to go and vote but that extra minor two that you put into your country your country will put in to you. This blog may be a little risky or out of the ordinary but It’s mine and I choose to express myself the best I know how to. I hope that I have given you somwe kind of encouragement to go and say who and how your country is ran. Go be apart of the 2008 presidential election today!!
